solidHow strong is the evidence?

Why it works
The duty gets borrowed motivation, and the pleasure gets rationed — so the pleasure stops being a competitor for the same hour.
What to do about it
- Pick one guilty pleasure and make it available only during the disliked activity: the podcast only on the walk, the series only on the treadmill.
- Keep the bundle strict for a month. A leaked pleasure breaks the contract.
- Best candidates: admin, exercise, commuting, chores.
Where people go wrong
Bundling something that needs your full attention. This works for the body, not for deep work.
