Use it freely. Do not mistake it for a clinician.
Useful Mind summarises published research for general interest. It is not therapy, not diagnosis, not treatment, and no substitute for a qualified professional who can actually see your situation. Nothing here should be used to diagnose anyone, to decide whether to start or stop any treatment or medication, or in place of care you need.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please stop reading this site and talk to someone who can help today — a doctor, an emergency service, or a crisis line where you live. In India, iCall is on 9152987821 and Tele-MANAS on 14416. In the UK, Samaritans are on 116 123. In the US and Canada, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is 988. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists a service for your country. You deserve better help than a website.
The findings, grades and the dataset are published under CC BY 4.0. You may quote it, republish it, translate it, teach from it and build on it, commercially or not, as long as you credit Useful Mind and link back. The research it describes belongs to the researchers who did it, and their papers are theirs, not mine — the citations are there so you can go to the source.
Every entry names its source and 43 link straight to the paper, but this is one person’s reading of the literature, not a systematic review or a peer-reviewed publication. Grades are judgements and some of them will be wrong. Science moves, papers are retracted, and this site will lag behind. It is offered as it is, with no warranty, and you are responsible for what you decide to do with it. If you spot an error, tell me and it gets fixed in public.
